People To See Places To Go (Now Until 1/18)

I actually tried to go until the 27th, but there's really nothing going on. What is going on though is pretty damn good.

Jan. 13
White Williams
BAR (New Haven) / 8 p.m. / FREE / 21+
Do I really need to say anything else about this guy? I think we covered it.

Jan. 13
Wu-Tang Clan
Toad's Place / 8 p.m. / $40 / 21+
The Clan's latest album, 8 Diagrams, was well received. And why not? It is Wu-Tang after all. There's really nothing else to say that hasn't been said about arguably the best rap group ever. Note: I didn't say the best -- I love Tribe.

Jan. 14
Wyclef Jean
Lupos (Providence, RI) / 8 p.m. / $35
I know he put out an album last month, but I never got around to checking it out. Scanning some random reviews it looks like it was a pretty good effort.

Jan. 16
Wu-Tang Clan
Lupos (Providence, RI) / 8 p.m. / $40
If you somehow happen to be both a huge White Williams fan and a huge Wu-Tang Clan fan, you can head up to Rhode Island this date and make sure you see both of them this week.

Jan. 17
Jucifer
Cherry Street Station (Wallingford, CT) / 7 p.m. / $5 / 21+
I was unfair to Jucifer. I turned off Michael Jackson to listen to their MySpace page. How can they follow that act? THEY CANNOT. A few things about the music though: 1. Fairly sweet name, 2. The show is being put on by Manic Productions and 3. They are from Athens, Georgia the home of all good music.
Opening: Murdervan, Bloarzeyd

Jan. 18
Blonde Redhead
Toad's Place / 8 p.m. / $20
I believe this is a makeup show from a bit back. Last year's 23 was a pretty hot album, but shit I'm going back to listen to Off The Wall.
Opening: School of Seven Bells
