Mostly Free by Noah and the Whale

Although there's not much information to be found on London's Noah and the Whale, I did notice some videos on La Blogotheque posted recently. The three-part series on the band features performances of their songs "Don't Look Back," "What Would I Do?" and "Jocasta." The Blogotheque crew documents following around the band and carrying their equipment, getting caught by police during taping somewhere public and hauling the guys off to a party and music festival they've never heard of.

They're charming on film like Columbia boys Vampire Weekend, they wear bright colors and make decent music. They'll also probably become my new favorite folk/ folk rock-ish band for now.

Noah and the Whale have recently put out a somewhat mysterious import single, titled "Shape of My Heart" (video/ I give them props for the Mariachi theme). If you want to give them your information and email address, you can have their other new "Sometimes" single via their MySpace link.

P.S. If you tell them you're a UK resident, you have access to the song.
