Go and see them for like the fifth time, Mark. We're definitely going to make every effort to get to this show tonight - it's a late show at the Iron Horse Music Hall up in Northampton, Mass. at 10 p.m. So Many Dynamos are opening and Ra Ra riot is scheduled to follow.
The two bands will be touring together throughout December; Ra Ra Riot is supporting their debut album, The Rhumb Line and So Many Dynamos is probably going to get out a few tracks from their upcoming The Loud Wars (2009). I saw Ra Ra Riot at Siren Fest over the summer and while that as probably one of the most moist and uncomfortable shows to be standing around outside for, the band put on a great show. The Iron Horse is especially intimate, though, and maybe can hold 150 people. It's more of a relaxed setting - you're allowed to sit down at a table and grab a drink or get up close and stand if you'd like.
Tickets are $13 upon entrance. See you there!
Note: I wanted to post a good photo or two of the whole band just playing live, but most were of the cellist. Oogling photographers.
