Titles Record Release Party Tomorrow

I feel like this show has been on our calendar for ages, but now it's finally here (and I think we'll be there). So expect photos from that show.

The show is free and starts at 9 p.m., so you have no reason not to be there and plenty of extra cash to buy Up With the Sun, Titles newest album on Safety Meeting Records.

Etta Place opens up the show and DJ Live Mike closes it out starting at midnight for the after party.

Titles currently has three songs off the new record streaming on their MySpace. Not sure if I just listened to "A Happy Life" or actually spoke about it, but it's very New Amsterdams-y and that is a good thing. "Fully Dressed in Bed" and "No Love" are no slouches either. Check them out.

Two New Songs From Titles Upcoming Album

As you may have noticed on our calendar, Titles will be playing Cafe Nine on May 30. What you may not have noticed is that in anticipation of their upcoming album, Up with the Sun, they posted two new tracks from the album.


"A Happy Life" and "No Love" can be found on their MySpace now. The album will drop on June 2nd, but you can grab it a couple days earlier at the aforementioned Cafe Nine record release party.

I have to really recommend "A Happy Life." It's a great song and will definitely remind you a bit of the New Amsterdams, which is always a good thing.

Busy Day Tomorrow

We haven't seen a Thursday this packed with quality music in a while. There's really something for everyone and in all price ranges. (Free being my personal favorite).

We mentioned some of this in the podcast, so there's not too much to say. Actually, shit, there really is nothing else to say besides check the calendar to your right and pick one. I'll be in New Haven seeing The Walkmen and Titles. I thought about going to see the Black Lips but I did a little math and it didn't work out.
