It's been a while since anything great and Vampire Weekend-related came up, but they've fixed that with a new video that was released by MTV last night. Rural settings, cowboys and clean white suits (mostly) characterize the video for "Oxford Comma," the track of their self-titled debut album.

I absolutely love Chromeo, so when I ever get the chance to drop them in a comparison discussion you should know that I'm also taking kindly to that band too. Providence-based band Llove will be playing at Panic's weekly dance party tonight at Club Hell and yes the Chromeo comparison fits.
They are much more on the club/dance range as opposed to Chromeo's funk/disco, but the voice box, quirky lyrics and very danceable tunes all fit the comparison. Llove played at Brown University's radio station and you can see one of the songs performed below.
Club Hell is located at 73 Richmond St. in Providence. Panic's MySpace says it's $5 to get in usually, but you can also RSVP via MySpace for reduced admission.
You may remember the arcade or NES game Spy Hunter and one look at the new Pontiac commercial advertising their G8 GT will bring those memories flooding back. The game was first released in 1983, but has been reincarnated in a couple of arcade greatest hit collections as recently as 2003.

So this Norwegian guy can't play the drums or the piano at all, but he can edit video really well. This is actually really cool and came out really awesome, and serves as a post. Ed and Melissa are in NYC at the moment and I was doing things this weekend, so yeah, enjoy.
If you didn't catch last night's Simpsons, you missed their version of that annoying YouTube video of some guy taking a picture of himself everyday for some long extended period of time and sets it to dreary piano music. Well those video suck, but the Homer Simpson version is actually quite funny.
Bloc Party will be performing a new song called "Flux" tonight on Conan O'Brien, which airs at 12:30 a.m. EST. The song will be released as a single on November 12 and it can be pre-ordered here. No news yet on if it is part of a full-length or EP down the line.
The band's last release, A Weekend in the City, came out in February of this year. Four songs from that album are currently available on their MySpace. It was one of the better releases of this year, so if you haven't heard it yet I would give those songs a listen and pick up the album when you get a chance.
Here's hoping "Flux" is awesome.
