Odd Collaborators for new Roots Song/Video

The Roots are going to be pretty busy come the end of the month. Besides a tour that kicks off in May that is jump started by a ton of university dates, they will also be dropping their newest album Rising Down on April 29 (the same date of their show at Yale).

The hip-hop group recently released the video for "Birthday Girl." The song features Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump and the video for the song features Sasha Grey, winner of the AVN Award for Best Oral Sex Scene 2008 (thank you Wikipedia). The song won't make it onto Rising Down despite it being perfect for the weather we've been getting lately and sure to get plenty of spins this spring and summer.

?uestlove told Billboard that it was dropped off the album because it didn't fit the tone. I could definitely seeing that being the case, but that song would move albums. I could picture it on a Kanye album, just replace Stump with Chris Martin.

Edit: If you have issues with the YouTube video you can listen to the song on The Roots' Myspace.
