I planned on simply looking ahead to tomorrow's show in Wallingford, Connecticut, but caught that they will also be in Boston tonight too. So think about that if you're closer. Ghasty City Sleep, a Brooklyn-based quartet in vain of Sigur Rós, will be putting on - based on the pictures - a fantastic show at 190 Ward St. tomorrow.
The band consists of ex-members of City of Caterpillar and they put out their debut, self-titled album on Robotic Empire in October of last year. Apparently it is just four tracks that go the distance of 30 minutes. Not bad considering I listened to the first two tracks and wasn't put into a Mars Volta-esque sleep.
Openings bands include Pygmy Lush, They and The Children, and My Heart to Joy at the Same Tone. Not sure how They and The Children fits on this bill and My Heart... only fits slightly better, but still looks good.
